Quick answer: The price of a QP or a pound of THCA flower depends on the strain, how it was grown, bud size and THCA percentage. The table below shows today’s lowest in-stock price for each size, pulled straight from our store, so it’s always current.
Today’s lowest prices by weight
| Weight | Lowest in-stock price today | Per gram |
|---|---|---|
| 2 ounces | $100 | $1.76 |
| Quarter pound (QP) | $140 | $1.23 |
| Half pound (HP) | $200 | $0.88 |
| Pound (LB) | $350 | $0.77 |
These numbers update by themselves whenever a price or stock level changes. A price you see here is the lowest one for that size across every in-stock strain. Top-shelf strains cost more, so click through to THCA flower wholesale to see every strain with its own price.
What sets the price of THCA flower?
Two pounds of THCA flower can be very different products. These are the things that move the price the most:
- How it was grown. Indoor flower costs the most to produce. Greenhouse and outdoor flower usually costs less. Read indoor vs outdoor vs greenhouse THCA flower for the differences.
- Bud size. Big, dense, well-trimmed buds sell for more than mixed sizes or shake.
- THCA percentage. Higher lab results usually cost more. Every product page shows the lab-tested THCA % and links the COA.
- Strain demand. Newer and hard-to-find genetics carry a premium over classics.
- Freshness and cure. A good cure keeps terpenes and smell, and that shows in the price.
Why a pound costs less per gram than an ounce
Selling a pound in one order costs less in packing, labels and shipping than selling sixteen separate ounces. That saving goes into the price. The per-gram column in the table above shows it clearly: the bigger the size, the lower the cost of each gram.
The math is simple: price ÷ grams = cost per gram. A QP has about 113 grams, a half pound about 227 and a pound about 454. Our weed measurements chart lists every size.
Budget pounds, clearance and top shelf
Not every buyer needs top-shelf flower. Shops that make house pre-rolls, and smokers who want value, often go for our budget tier. Every flower in our lowest price tier is on the THCA flower clearance page, and sale items are added as they happen. For the smallest price per gram, look at THCA shake and trim.
One thing to watch out for: ads for pounds at prices far below everyone else. Very cheap “pounds” are often small buds, old stock or flower with no current lab report. Always check the COA before you buy.
Margin math for shops
If you’re buying to resell, work backward from your shelf price. Here is the formula most shops use:
- Find your cost per gram: wholesale price ÷ grams.
- Pick your shelf price per gram (or per eighth, which is 3.5 grams).
- Margin = (shelf price − cost) ÷ shelf price.
Use the live per-gram numbers above as your cost. Our retailer’s guide to selling THCA flower covers building a menu around these numbers.
How to compare prices fairly
- Price per gram, not price per bag.
- The COA: THCA %, total THC, and a full safety panel from a third-party lab.
- The test date: recent results matter.
- Shipping speed and costs, and whether the seller ships to your state. We don’t ship THCA to every state, so check the shipping page first.
