What is THCA flower?

The difference is how it’s grown, harvested and tested. Licensed hemp farms keep delta-9 THC at or under 0.3% by dry weight, while the plant still builds up plenty of THCA, the raw form of THC.
Is THCA flower real weed?

Hemp vs marijuana: what’s the difference?
Botanically, hemp and marijuana are the same plant, Cannabis sativa L. The difference is legal, not biological:
- Hemp: cannabis with 0.3% or less delta-9 THC by dry weight. Legal federally under the 2018 Farm Bill.
- Marijuana: cannabis with more than 0.3% delta-9 THC. Federally illegal, but legal under some state programs.
For decades, “hemp” meant fiber and seed crops with little THC or THCA. THCA flower is different: it’s bred for smokable buds rich in THCA, and tested so the delta-9 number stays within the hemp limit.

Is THCA flower the same as regular weed?
In the ways that matter to most smokers, yes. Strains, smell, flavor and effects are the same as regular cannabis. Labels are the main difference: hemp lab reports list THCA and delta-9 THC separately, while dispensaries usually list total THC. Use total THC = (THCA × 0.877) + delta-9 THC to compare.
Does THCA flower get you stoned?
